The Southern Michigan Timberwolves believed they were better than the Detroit Seminoles Saturday night.
But they didn’t prove it on the field and no longer are the No. 1 seed in the Mid-Continental Football League.
The T-Wolves were outplayed by the Seminoles 28-21 in a game Detroit dominated. The only thing close was the score.

Brandon Davies is used to playing for winners.
The 23-year-old old cornerback played on two state championship teams at Cleveland Benedictine High School in Ohio.
He joined the Southern Michigan Timberwolves this year after their opening-game loss and since then Monroe’s semipro football team has won five straight.
The T-Wolves will attempt to make it six wins in a row when they host their arch-rivals, the Detroit Seminoles, at 7:25 p.m. Saturday at Navarre Field.
Dubbed “The Battle of I-75” by Seminoles general manager Sylvester Jennings, the game takes on even more significance this year. Southern Michigan leads the Mid-Continental Football League with a 3-0 mark and is 5-1 overall. Detroit is 3-1 in the league and 6-1 overall. Its only loss was to the defending league

According to the American Football News, the Southern Michigan Timberwolves football team is the sixteen best team in the Country. That's the good news. The T-Wolves opponent for this weekend is ranked even higher. That's the bad news. The T-Wolves are 5-1, but are headed into the brutal part of their schedule beginning Saturday, August 28th, when they take on the #15 Detroit Seminoles at Navarre Field. Gates open at 6:25 PM for the 7:25 PM kickoff.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for students. BoRics will be on hand, because it's "Shave your head, get in FREE" night. Other promotions include a free mini football for all kids 14 and under, and safety displays from the Michigan State Police and Monroe County Sheriff's Departments, along with their mascots, and the T-Wolves mascot, Howler.

gridiron. The Southern Michigan Timberwolves (5-1, 3-0 MCFL) host their
arch rivals, the Detroit Seminoles (6-1, 3-1 MCFL). The game is at
Navarre Field, 301 Jones Ave., Monroe, MI. The battle for first place
begins at 7:25 PM, with gates opening at 6:25 PM. Tickets are $6 for
adults, and just $4 for students and senior citizens.
